Yin and Yang.   Never one to take orders easily, Jack and the military command and control culture were like oil and water.  Thankfully, he found volleyball where he could pass his time barnstorming the Pacific.  On the other hand, Jack discovered the true source of brotherhood and fellowship at the Ohio Wesleyan University Delta Tau Delta House.  Weeks before his death he travelled to Maryland’s Eastern Shore for a reunion with 15 of his fraternity brothers, a ritual they had maintained for over 50 years.
